    Dermatopolymyositis is a is a term used to describe a family of autoimmune conditions that cause inflammation of the muscles with weakness and a characteristic skin rash. Two of the major conditions that are part of the category called Dermatopolymyositis is polymyositis and dermatomyositis. In fact the term PM/DM is often used by clinicians to describe the polymyositis and dermatomyositis.
